A big fire happened in Reddish last night. It was on Bradfield Close and ash is still falling today. This occurred early this morning, and the fire destroyed a house which is almost gone.

It’s on a side street that links Bradfield and Howden Close, both near Station Road. A recycling plant is also nearby.

One neighbor heard people shouting, and her husband tried to help, but he could not because the fire was too big. Other neighbors stood outside as the fire spread fast. She said it looked like lava.

Another neighbor saw fire reflections when he was going to bed. He ran downstairs and saw the huge fire. Firefighters and ambulances arrived around 12:20 AM, but they could not get inside.

A woman smelled burning and told her partner about it. She then saw the fire in front of their house and heard a woman scream to get out, likely from the neighboring house.

Someone else had come home from work and went to sleep. His sister woke him up to see the fire. He said they moved there two months ago and hopes nobody got hurt. One local commended the fire service’s actions.

Emergency services stayed for hours. CSI and firefighters entered the burned building. Images show the house was gutted, and the fire went out around 2 AM. Firefighters arrived around 12:30 AM today.

Eight fire engines came from all over Greater Manchester, along with specialist units. Police and ambulance services helped too. No one was rescued from inside the house.

A fire service person shared details stating that firefighters got a call about a fire on Bradfield Close in Stockport. Fire engines and other units arrived quickly. Firefighters put water on the fire, which spread to the next house. They used cameras to see heat, and the fire is out now. Some crews stayed to secure the site.
