Kasey Anderson’s sister recounts his abusive relationship before his tragic death at the hands of his girlfriend.

Molly and Kasey were very close. They played football and rode bikes together, sharing the same personality and finding humor in everything. Growing up, they were “crazy kids.”
Kasey changed when he met Natalie Bennett, who was twice his age and had four kids. He lost himself with her and became a shell of his former self, no longer smiling and giving short, mumbled replies. His family noticed physical and emotional injuries, including black eyes, bruises, and scratches on his neck.
The family tried to end the relationship, but Kasey stayed with Bennett. They knew what was happening and could see Kasey changing, but he could not see it himself, leaving them feeling helpless.
Bennett stabbed Kasey on March 12, 2023, in a “vicious and calculated attack.” He died in the hospital on March 31, a week before his 25th birthday. Molly hopes Kasey’s story helps others, emphasizing that men in abusive relationships should know they have support.
Kasey was born in April 1998 and had three siblings, Molly, Connor, and James. He was raised by his dad, stepmom, and aunt. He played football for Everton FC and loved outdoor activities, especially fishing and going to the woods, passing his love of fishing to others.
He fished until two weeks before his death and loved animals, like dogs and hamsters. Before his relationship with Natalie, Kasey worked as a landscaper and in warehouses.
Kasey dated his childhood sweetheart at 18, and after two years, they broke up. He then started seeing Bennett at 19, often seen drinking with her in public. He enjoyed nights out but not often. Kasey, always clean and stylish before, looked messy with Natalie.
The family fought about Kasey’s relationship, with Molly recalling Bennett often drunk and showing up uninvited to family homes. Bennett manipulated Kasey, twisting his family’s concerns.
He wouldn’t admit the truth, Molly stated, and disappeared with Natalie. He never spoke badly about her, indicating she had too much control over him. He was kind before Bennett but later became nasty, Molly said, adding that Bennett had a history of violence and assaulted Kasey often.
