Major road work will close parts of Mancunian Way for four weeks, impacting major traffic routes starting March 3.

They will resurface the busy road at night. This should keep traffic flowing, despite the fact that around 15 million trips happen yearly.
They will work in two sections. First, workers will fix the eastbound side, running from River Street to Fairfield Street. Next, they will repair the westbound lane.
Eastbound work runs March 3 to March 14. The road shuts 7 PM to 5 AM, with later closures starting at 7:30 PM on March 7, 10, and 14. They will suspend work on Europa League nights and will not work Saturday or Sunday nights.
Westbound work follows quickly and will run from March 17 to March 28. This section stretches from Fairfield Street to Upper Brook Street. Closures are still 7 PM to 5 AM, though March 19 starts at 7:30 PM. It will not take place on Saturday or Sunday nights. Diversions will be marked.
