Mancunian Way to close for resurfacing in March. Expect overnight closures for four weeks to improve A57M condition.
They need to resurface the A57(M). It’s a really busy road in the city. The road work starts Monday, March 3. Closures happen overnight for four weeks.
The council knows the road work may cause problems. They will try to keep traffic flowing smoothly. They want to minimize the impact on drivers.
The road stays open Saturday and Sunday nights. Also, it won’t close during Man U’s Europa League games. These games are usually on Thursday nights.
The road work divides into two parts. First they’ll fix the eastbound side. Then workers will move to the westbound lane.
Eastbound work runs from March 3 to March 14. The road will be closed 7 PM to 5 AM. On March 7, 10, and 14, the road will close at 7:30 PM.
Westbound work runs from March 17 to March 28. It also closes from 7 PM to 5 AM. The road will close at 7:30 PM on March 19. They do this because an event is happening that night.
