A boy got scared near a new estate in Huddersfield. He went to a hut and saw a man with a knife inside. The hut sits opposite new houses on Moor End Court in Crosland Moor.

The man showed the knife to him. The boy quickly ran away.

Police say the same man showed a knife at another man. The man looked to be in his 20s. Police described him as tall and skinny with scruffy brown hair. The incident happened on February 16 at 5:22 PM.

Police found the man and clarified what happened. They want to reassure everyone that what happened may not be as it seemed. Police are working with other agencies to figure out what really took place.

Police told Yorkshire Live about their findings. They spoke to the man about the incident, and their enquiries suggest a different story. They continue to work closely with partner agencies to learn more.

Police searched the area fully. DI James Bellhouse called it a concerning incident, noting no one got hurt, but the victims did suffer distress.
