Steven Clark, 50, convicted of murdering Ursula Uhlemann, 80, in her Queens Park flat in March 2024.

The crime happened in March 2024. Clark strangled Ursula in her home, and the jury found him guilty at Southwark Crown Court. Clark lived on Bravington Road in Kilburn.
Clark called for an ambulance just after 3 AM on March 20th. Paramedics found Ursula unresponsive on the floor and tried to revive her. Sadly, she died at 4 AM.
Police saw she had many injuries, and an exam revealed the cause of death was neck compression. This means someone squeezed her neck, and the incident happened in her living room.
Clark said he visited Ursula’s flat and claimed he came and went a few times. He said he stayed there the night she died, then discovered her unconscious.
Police checked security cameras and saw Clark never left the flat for two days beforehand. They arrested him for murder on March 22nd. Clark will learn his sentence soon; the court date is February 21st.
DCI Wayne Jolley spoke about the case, sharing his thoughts that Ursula’s life ended terribly. He is thinking of her loved ones now.
Clark lied repeatedly about what happened and denied any part in Ursula’s death. DCI Jolley thanked the witnesses, whose help allowed investigators to solve the case.
