Someone stabbed a man at Manchester Victoria station. It happened Sunday night, February 16. Police are looking for the attacker.

The victim is in his twenties. They found him with serious stab wounds. Paramedics took him to a hospital. He is still there now.

The attack likely occurred somewhere else. The Monsall tram stop closed towards Manchester, and part of Victoria station also shut temporarily. Services to Rochdale and the airport were affected.

Police started an investigation. They want witnesses to speak up. Did anyone see anything strange Sunday evening at Victoria or Monsall?

Police haven’t arrested anyone yet. They are checking CCTV footage. Witnesses saw many police cars and an air ambulance paramedic vehicle. Detectives were on the platform and put up a white screen.

Police responded to a call around 7 PM reporting a man with serious injuries at Victoria Station. They believe this was an isolated incident, and the public isn’t at further risk, police stated.
