A 24-year-old man was stabbed in Southport after a fight with three men. One suspect is arrested for drug possession.

The victim is 24 years old. He was stabbed in his side. The police went to Lord Street in Southport and arrived around 7:40 PM on Friday.
One of the attackers wore a balaclava. The police say the victim’s injuries aren’t serious. They took the injured man to the hospital. A man from Bootle got arrested; he is 24 and police suspect drug possession.
The police say they went to Lord Street because reports indicated a man was stabbed outside the Glasshouse pub. The victim argued with three men, one of whom wore a balaclava.
The injured man is getting treatment, and his injury isn’t serious. Crime scene techs are checking the area. They are also looking at CCTV footage too.
A detective named Mike Fletcher spoke about the investigation. He said it just started. They want to find everyone involved and discover what happened.
Knives cause very bad outcomes. Fletcher asks witnesses to share information. Dashcam footage from drivers is very helpful; call the police if you know anything.
