Sean continues his decades-long search to find his stillborn daughter’s grave and fulfill a promise to his late wife.

They rushed her to the hospital because she had a bad headache. Doctors delivered the baby early, but the baby could not be saved.
Hospital staff gave them no information at Tameside Hospital. For almost ten years, Sean and Susan didn’t know the baby’s sex, nor if she was born alive.
Sean said Susan kept asking, but the hospital told them nothing. They tried asking again later and were told, “Someone will explain,” but nobody ever did.
The couple later had four healthy daughters. After their fourth daughter was born, Susan saw her medical notes in 1990. The notes showed the baby had been a girl, stillborn.
Susan never found Rebecca’s resting place; that was her baby’s name. Susan passed away in 2003 at the age of 45. Kidney damage caused her death; she took anti-rejection drugs after a transplant.
Sean said she wanted to put flowers on the grave. They said the baby might be buried with another person, but now, there’s no record of it. He thinks any information would help.
Sean wants to keep his promise to Susan. She died asking him to find their baby. He has searched for years but cannot find any records of Rebecca’s death. Sean feels it is very unfair and wants to do what he promised his wife.
