Arrested man freed without charge after post-mortem in Rosslare ferry death. Investigation ongoing, family supported.

The woman who died was named Mary Cash, 39 years old. A post-mortem exam has been done, and her death seems like a personal tragedy.
Mary Cash was Irish but lived in the UK. She traveled with family to a funeral in Co. Kildare. Someone made an emergency call from the ferry and many police officers boarded the boat after it docked.
Police are preparing a file to help with a Coroner’s inquest. They are not looking into other incidents from the ferry that involved alleged public order.
Police in Wexford are still looking into the death. It happened on a ferry to Rosslare on the evening of February 25th, 2025. The post-mortem has been done, but police will not share the results for police reasons. The arrested man is now free and faces no charges currently.
A police officer supports Mary Cash’s family, and a senior officer will oversee the investigation end. The final file will aid the Coroner’s Inquest. Police are not investigating any other incidents concerning public order issues that supposedly happened on the ferry.
