Man Jailed After Warrington Crime Spree: Car Thefts and Drug Possession
On Friday, February 21st, police responded to reports of a disturbance at Cromwell Court. Officers located Leon, 40, with a woman and proceeded to search him at the location. He was found to be in possession of amphetamine, a class B drug, and a bank card that did not bear his name. Leon resides on Orange Grove in Poulton-with-Fearnhead.
He was immediately arrested and subsequently charged with several offenses. These included two counts of theft from motor vehicles, violation of a Criminal Behavior Order (CBO), and possession of amphetamine.
He appeared in court on February 22nd in Warrington, where he pleaded guilty to the charges. Consequently, the court sentenced him to 20 weeks imprisonment and ordered him to pay £154 in court costs.
Police Constable Andy Schofield commented after the court hearing, noting Leon’s history of frequent criminal activity. Andy expressed satisfaction that Leon was back in jail for violating his CBO and committing further thefts from vehicles.
The Warrington police team worked diligently, with assistance from the community, to quickly identify Leon as the perpetrator. He is now facing the consequences of his actions.
