Mitchell Cleaver, 26, sentenced to over five years for rioting at a Tamworth hotel after inciting violence.

Cleaver sent messages before the event, encouraging people to cause chaos in Tamworth. He told them to burn down the hotel, expressing his hope for the wildest night ever.
Footage on his phone showed the scene, specifically the hotel window getting smashed. Furthermore, the video showed a fire starting inside the hotel. Police are currently examining all the evidence to bring everyone involved to justice.
During the riot, people threw things at officers, including fireworks, and yelled insults. Someone even poured petrol on an officer, while flames burned inside the hotel. Cleaver himself threw things and used a fire extinguisher, specifically targeting the officers protecting the hotel.
Cleaver is one of many people now sentenced, which is part of a strong response to the summer riot. Police arrested their 200th suspect in December, and their investigation continues to uncover all actors involved.
Eighty-two people face charges so far as the police investigation goes on. Officers believe they will charge more people too. The police are stopping violent acts against the community and aim to protect officers from violence.
