A man was jailed after damaging property and attacking officers while under the influence in Biddulph.

Williamson threatened a man with a weapon and assaulted two police officers who came to arrest him. Two years prior, he assaulted a police officer at a hospital, suspected to be under the influence of monkey dust.
The court sentenced him to two years in jail for the crimes that occurred in Biddulph last September. These crimes included causing £300 in damage to a car at night and threatening a man with a bar soon after.
Later, he damaged a wall light at his old home, costing eight pounds. He then entered a store shirtless, armed with a pole, smashing the storeroom and breaking bottles, resulting in over £1,600 of damage.
Next, he went to a pub, again shirtless and carrying the pole. He entered the staff area and threw a kettle, scratching the bar.
When police arrived and tried to restrain him, he head-butted one officer and bit his arm, causing a red cheek and a cut arm. He continued to struggle even with handcuffs and bit another officer, leaving a bruise.
Police had also dealt with him at the hospital in 2022 where he acted strangely, believed to be under the influence. He assaulted a security guard at the hospital, becoming aggressive towards an officer. He growled, swore, shouted, and forcefully pushed the officer, bending their thumb backwards.
He admitted to assault and damage charges, along with threatening someone with a weapon. He also admitted to two assault charges against emergency workers.
His lawyer stated that he felt agitated at the hospital and acted recklessly, apologizing for his behavior that day. The lawyer explained that Williamson had taken magic mushrooms then, and is embarrassed by his actions in his town. Drugs have negatively impacted his life, including the loss of a good job due to addiction.
The judge described it as a night of lawlessness, also noting the officer injured at the hospital needed a cast for twelve weeks following the injury.
