A man went to jail. Matthew Alcroft lived on Cheyney Walk. This happened in Crewe. He admitted to having a gun and ammo without permission. He also wasn’t allowed a gun, as this ban lasted five years.

Alcroft is 31 years old. He got 63 months in prison. Police arrested Alcroft last November, specifically on November 6th. The arrest happened during a search of a place in Nantwich tied to him.

Officers found a 3D printed gun on a dresser. They believe it was a handgun. There was one bullet ready to fire, and the gun clip had four more bullets. Experts considered it usable, a real threat.

A specialist examined the gun and confirmed it was illegal to own. Alcroft had past convictions that made gun ownership illegal. Subsequently, they charged him with these new offenses.

A detective named Lauren Constable spoke, stating that illegal guns are unacceptable. This 3D printed gun was a first for the county. They seized it and will destroy it. Alcroft claimed he found the gun on his car, and should have alerted the police. Now, he is paying for this illegal weapon.
