A teenage boy was followed by a suspicious man in Sidmouth. Police are appealing for information about the incident.

The boy was walking on Peak Hill Road around 1:15 pm on Wednesday, February 26. A man in a small black car spoke to him and parked. Then, he followed the boy on foot along Glen Road and Cotmatan Road.
The boy noticed the man was gone near Sidmouth Golf Club. Fortunately, the boy wasn’t hurt, but he was pretty scared because of this event.
The man is white, around 60 years old, and of medium build, with some stubble on his face. He was wearing a brown cap, jumper, and grey pants.
Police want to hear from witnesses who may have seen anything happen or have CCTV or dashcam footage. If so, please call 101, mentioning reference number 50250049795.
Police said this Sidmouth event is separate and not linked to the Alphington incident where men approached kids in the park. Police believe Alphington is unrelated.
