A man named Caius Olah got hurt badly. A crash involving a police car caused his injuries. This happened on a street in Birmingham, and he fears he might lose a leg.

Caius, a former Papa John’s driver, was walking when a bollard flew and hit him during the crash. Other cars collided there, too, including the police vehicle. This occurred in Handsworth.

The incident happened last September. The 39-year-old broke both of his legs, and doctors put metal rods in his legs, hoping to help him keep walking.

Caius used to have two jobs and supported his family. Now, he might lose his right leg, using crutches to move around, unable to work as a driver anymore. His wife, Adalena, lost her job, too, having come to the UK after he got hurt.

They have a son named Mario, and they are having money problems now. Police are still checking out the crash, where at least one car was running from the police. Caius is from Romania and the bollard struck him on September 29 while he was visiting England.

He doesn’t remember the crash. He woke up with bones sticking out, with blood on his head and hands. He stayed in the hospital for two months, and they gave him strong medicine.

He still takes a lot of medicine, having first needed a wheelchair. Now, he uses crutches, but his legs swell up and hurt, and he can’t walk very far. He also has other injuries, his head was hurt, and his teeth were damaged.

This makes eating hard for him now, and he also has nerve damage. The crash also affects him mentally, and he worries about working again, concerned about carrying deliveries.

He is very worried about money. Caius hopes his leg will get better and he wants his life to improve. Caius used to live in Birmingham, visiting friends and needed to renew his license.

The crash happened during his two-week visit. He stayed at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, then, he went back home to Romania. The crash changed his life a lot. Caius cannot work, stays home a lot, so his mental state is not good, and everything has changed for him and his family.

They are worried about money a lot. He feels down and upset, used to work two jobs, and now, he cannot work at all. He wants to earn money for his family.

She helps him with basic tasks, including showering, and helps him move around. He cannot spend quality time with his son, and he used to play football often which helped him relax.

Now, he might not play again, worrying about the future. One doctor said he might have lost his leg already in Romania. Caius has hired a law firm. Gulderen Salih is helping him, as a specialist in serious injuries and is helping him make a claim.

Gulderen says Caius always worked hard and always supported his family. Now, the crash changed everything, having impacted his life badly, affecting his wife and his son, too.

He is suffering in many ways, dealing with physical, emotional, and money problems. His life is worse because of something not his fault. They want answers about the crash, support for Caius, and they hope for a brighter future.
