Mannix Pedro guilty in watch heist linked to a manager’s suicide after £1.38m theft from Richmond store.

Mannix Pedro, age 37, planned the robbery. It happened at 247 Kettles in Richmond on May 25th last year. Oliver White, the manager, was 27. He killed himself the next day. Prosecutors said it was because of the robbery. Over 70 high-value watches were stolen.
The watches were never found, and they had no insurance. The store had experienced a theft three years earlier. Mr. White felt very upset then. The robbers tied him up, and put him in a headlock.
The jury found Pedro, from Woking, Surrey, guilty this Wednesday by a vote of ten to one after deliberating for over 23 hours. Pedro did not enter the store, but he organized a stolen Audi that served as a getaway car.
Another guy is also on trial. His name is Junior Kunu, who is 30 and from Mitcham, London. He is charged with the same crime.
The legal trial is still underway, and it will start up again this Friday.
