A man in his 30s died in a Northumberland crash. Police seek witnesses to the early morning incident in Ashington.

The crash was around 1 a.m. today, February 24th. It happened on Fairfield Drive in Ashington. Police got a call about a car crash. A black Skoda Kodiaq drove south toward Newbiggin Road.
The car left the road and hit a wall. Emergency crews arrived quickly, but sadly, the driver, also in his 30s, died at the scene.
