Fatal A90 crash near Laurencekirk leaves one dead. Police investigate the incident involving a lorry and a van.

The accident occurred around 10:20 AM on Wednesday, February 12 at a busy road junction. A silver Mercedes Vito and a grey Mercedes HGV collided.
Emergency services responded quickly to the scene. Sadly, a 62-year-old man, a passenger in the van, died there.
The 43-year-old van driver was treated at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The lorry driver, age 52, was treated at Ninewells Hospital.
The road closed for about twelve hours while police investigated the crash. Police Scotland asks witnesses to contact them.
Sergeant David Cooper shared his condolences and wants to find out what happened. He urges witnesses to speak with police and asks drivers to check dash-cam footage.
