A 34-year-old man died after being restrained by Met Police officers outside a London Bridge bar. Investigation underway.

The event occurred on Borough High Street shortly before 1 AM on Saturday, January 25. Officers restrained him outside the bar, during which he became ill.
Paramedics took Mr. Tidman to a hospital. Sadly, he died on February 11. Police reported themself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
The IOPC investigates what happened. Detectives want to speak with witnesses. A police area existed outside Belushi’s on Saturday, January 25.
Amanda Rowe directs the IOPC, and she expressed sympathy for Tidman’s family and others affected. Many people might have seen the restraint, and knowing everything is really important now.
The IOPC asks witnesses to contact them to learn all the details. Witnesses may have seen events before it.
An official inquest will happen later on. Borough High Street closed the next morning as a police cordon stayed around Belushi’s all day.
