An 84-year-old man is still in critical condition after a dog attack. The incident occurred earlier this week.

Armed police went to Bardsley Avenue in Warrington around 6:40 PM on Monday, February 24. Reports stated a man had been seriously hurt in the attack, which took place in a front garden.

The man was walking on the road when an XL Bully attacked him. Police believe it escaped from a nearby house. He is in the hospital with life-changing injuries.

Sean Garner, 30, has been charged after police arrested him on Wednesday, January 26. He lives on Keybank Road, West Derby.

Garner faces two charges: having a dangerous dog that caused serious injuries, and possessing a fighting dog. He is in custody.

Garner will appear in Chester Magistrates’ Court soon. A 29-year-old woman was also arrested and later released on bail.

The police confirmed the man’s critical condition. Neighbors told the ECHO they felt very traumatized after the dog attack.
