Armed robbery attempt at Wrexham shop. Suspect claimed to have gun, demanded money, and fled. Police investigation ongoing.

Police are still investigating the attempted robbery. It happened around 1:03 PM yesterday. The man demanded money from the staff and claimed to have a gun. He then left towards Holborn Crescent without stealing anything. Nobody saw a weapon.
Detective Inspector Dean Jones spoke about the case. They are working hard to find the suspect quickly and wanted to reassure the community. No one saw a gun, and police don’t think residents are in danger.
The man hid his face during the incident and was described as large, wearing dark clothing. Police ask people near the AM/PM shop and those on Holborn Crescent with CCTV to help by checking footage.
Police also need help from drivers in the area, asking them to review dashcam footage for suspicious behavior and see if they spotted the suspect.
