A man appeared in court, charged with causing death by dangerous driving. The crash occurred on July 28 on the A6088 in Scotland.

Andrew Lartey was 29, Georgia Tate was 23, and Jason Gibbon was 37. Andrew and Georgia were from Newcastle, while Jason was from Northumberland.

The court case happened on March 10 at Jedburgh Sheriff Court. Police sent a report to the Fiscal.

Andrew sang in The Straits, a Dire Straits tribute band, and his dad, Dez, was also in the band. Dez shared news of the accident on Facebook, describing Andrew as a “gentleman.”

Dez said the band played their last show Saturday in Ormskirk. Andrew strived for perfection in music, but he was humble.

Families of Andrew and Georgia are devastated and released a statement through the police, requesting privacy.

Jason’s family are also devastated and will deeply miss him. They asked for privacy too, wanting to grieve in peace during this time.
