Akbar Khan is charged following the death of Martin Edgar in Coventry. Family describes heartbreak after losing a beloved son.

Cops went to Waterloo Street around 4 a.m. on February 11. They learned Edgar was attacked and had serious head wounds. Edgar died in the hospital on Friday, February 14, after being hospitalized for three days.
Khan, age 24, was arrested and charged soon after. Khan, from Yardley Street, went to court on February 14 and didn’t enter a plea.
Police are working with the CPS after Edgar’s death. They want to upgrade Khan’s GBH charge. Khan will be in Warwick Crown Court on March 11.
Martin’s family released a tribute on February 16. They said they are heartbroken by the loss and called Martin their beloved son.
Detective Inspector Phil Poole spoke about the case. He said they will find out what happened and want answers for the hurting family.
