Corey Dryden faces murder charge after a 31-year-old woman was found dead in a Scottish Borders home.

Police arrested Corey after a 31-year-old woman died at a house in the Scottish Borders. Emergency responders went to Windram Road in Chirnside around 4:35 a.m. on Sunday, following a report of a seriously hurt woman.
The paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced the woman dead, beginning a probe. Police arrested Dryden during the investigation, later charging him in relation to the woman’s death.
He went to court that afternoon. Dryden, who is from Berwickshire, faces one murder charge. He did not enter a plea in court, and the hearing was private.
Dryden will stay in custody until future court dates are set. He will appear again next week; that hearing will also be private and involve the same case.
Detective Inspector White said her thoughts are with the woman’s loved ones, and specialist officers are helping the family while the investigation continues. Officer Fletcher also said he knows this worries the community and that police will stay in the area.
The Chief Inspector stated that there will be more police patrols. He asked people with concerns to speak with officers.
