A woman, age 31, passed away in the Scottish Borders. She died in a Chirnside home near Duns. Police got a call around 4:35 AM Sunday reporting severe injuries.

Emergency services went to Windram Road, but sadly, they could not save her life. A 31-year-old man got arrested and faces charges related to her death.

He will appear in court soon, with his court date set for Monday, February 10, at Jedburgh Sheriff Court. Police are increasing patrols in the area.
