A man was arrested in Nottingham city centre following an alleged attempted rape near Victoria Centre.

Police arrived after 4:45 AM on Sunday, February 23. The man, age 32, was arrested Monday, February 24, and is still in custody.
Part of Victoria Bus Station was closed with tape, and entrances were blocked off. People used the car park to enter while buses still used the station.
Police want witnesses to step forward to understand what happened. Detective Constable Laura Manley of Nottinghamshire Police spoke about the event, saying these events do not happen often.
She knows people may feel worried, but officers patrol the area. People who are worried can talk to them, and they keep working hard on this case.
Trained officers are helping the victim as the investigation continues. Police want to speak to anyone who was there between 4 AM and 5 AM and seeks those who saw something that morning.
