A man from Bere Ferrers awaits sentencing. He admitted harming a pedestrian on purpose. He drove his car into them.

Jordan Blackmore, age 29, is from Fore Street. Police arrested him after an event last year. The incident happened on November 21 around 2 p.m. CCTV caught the event.

The video showed Jamie Elliott exiting a van. He walked toward Blackmore’s parked car. Blackmore drove off as Elliott approached. Elliott turned to walk back.

Blackmore reversed quickly, hitting Elliott. The car pinned him against the van. Blackmore later went to the police station. They arrested him for dangerous driving at first.

Later, they charged him with wounding and a public order offense. Police closed the road during the investigation. Ambulances and the RNLI went to the scene back then.

Blackmore appeared in court. He admitted wounding with intent to harm. He denied threatening Elliott’s partner. She was pregnant with twins back then actually. The court accepted these pleas.

Blackmore’s lawyer said the judge will sentence him. The lawyer said Judge Linford viewed the CCTV. A date for sentencing must be set soon. The judge said he would remain in custody. The sentencing date before Judge Linford is pending.
