Emanuel Adedokum, 25, denies attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a man in Belfast, threatening further violence.

Police say Emanuel Adedokum, 25, did it. He supposedly stabbed the man in the neck and chest. Adedokum also used a knife, police stated. He allegedly threatened to kill the victim.
Adedokum is from Dublin. He denies attempted murder and weapon charges. The incident occurred on Whitewell Road. The court denied him bail, and he’s being held in custody.
A detective said Adedokum was with three others at the flat. They were socializing when a fight broke out. She said he broke a bottle and stabbed the man. The attacker then allegedly used a ten-inch silver knife to inflict more injuries.
The victim grabbed Adedokum’s hair while fighting back. Police said he punched Adedokum’s face. The police said Adedokum left, but made threats. He yelled he would return to shoot the victim. He also threatened to blow up the flat.
Later, the victim went to the hospital. He had a neck wound and a sliced ear. Cuts to his chest and arm were glued shut. He needed twenty-five stitches for a leg cut.
Adedokum was arrested at the scene. He admitted drinking there with a broken bottle, but denied having a knife or trying to murder anyone. He had cuts on his face, hand, and legs.
Police want to keep him jailed because they think he might commit more crimes. He had threatened to kill the victim, she said.
Adedokum’s lawyer stated he visits his girlfriend in Belfast every weekend. The lawyer said police need more witness info, even though his client gave a full account.
The lawyer claimed the victim’s injuries upset Adedokum. The lawyer suggested the leg injury came from falling on glass.
The judge looked at photos of the victim’s wounds. Then, he denied Adedokum bail. He said the case had allegations of extreme violence and the wounds could have been fatal. Adedokum will stay in custody until March 24.
