Marcin Majerkiewicz is on trial for allegedly murdering Stuart Everett. Police found Everett’s phone and cards on Majerkiewicz.

Marcin Majerkiewicz is accused of murder. He denies that he did it. Majerkiewicz lived with Everett, along with another man, Michal Polchowski. They all lived together in a house.
Prosecutors believe Everett was killed in late March last year. Police found six places with body parts. The trial is ongoing. The prosecutor went over details and spoke about the timeline with a detective on Friday, March 7.
Police arrested Majerkiewicz in April. They searched him when they stopped him. He had Everett’s phone at that time. Also, he carried Everett’s bank cards and Polchowski’s bank card.
Prosecutors allege Majerkiewicz used Everett’s phone to send messages to Everett’s brother. He also searched for news about the case.
A neighbor, Peter Hubert, gave a statement, saying Everett moved in twelve years ago. Everett used a walking stick sometime later, and the neighbor thought Everett had a stroke. Everett told Hubert he had new roommates that would help with bills and rent. Everett would collect their rent money. Hubert said they were nice and caused no issues.
Hubert spoke to Everett last December. Everett said he was going to his brother’s for Christmas. Everett seemed slower after returning, according to Hubert. Six weeks ago Hubert last saw Everett with a stick. Hubert often talked with Everett over their shared backyard fence. Hubert mentioned Everett liked to feed birds.
Hubert noticed bin bags in early April near the front bay window. All the windows were open wide. Hubert thought somebody moved out and felt it odd that Everett didn’t say goodbye. Hubert saw a ‘young lad’ putting bin bags in a van. Later, the ‘young lad’ was there with a driver, and they threw items into that same van.
Hubert asked about Everett. The response was that he’d had a stroke and gone to live with relatives. They also said rent increased, so they were moving out themselves. Hubert saw Majerkiewicz getting cleaner and found it seemed odd that he was cleaning carpets.
Hubert asked Polchowski about everything. Polchowski did not speak much English and only replied: “Gone.” Hubert saw a skip get delivered. Then, a younger man filled the skip with his girlfriend. Hubert was surprised to not hear from Stuart, as he saw him as something of a friend.
The trial is ongoing.
