First image released of Karl Wexler, facing attempted murder charges after a St Helens incident. Trial set for July.

Karl, who is 43, appeared in court via video from prison. He admitted to possessing an offensive weapon but did not enter a plea for the attempted murder charge. His address is also on Dentons Green Lane.
The charges state Karl tried to murder Clare King. Police found a manrikigusari, a weighted chain weapon, at his place. He will have a three-day trial on July 21st in the same court.
The judge, Andrew Menary KC, ordered Karl to remain in custody. Karl was wearing a grey jumper and glasses, and had a crucifix around his neck. He had a shaved head and a beard, waving to his family as the case paused.
Police said they went to a house on Dentons Lane around 10 PM on January 21st. They responded to reports about a domestic matter and arrested a 43-year-old St Helens man. He was suspected of strangulation and weapon possession.
