Okay, so this thing happened in Widnes. A guy got hurt because of some e-bike thieves. It happened around 3:30 PM on February 20th. This man, who’s fifty, was riding his e-bike when two young dudes tried to steal it right on Routledge Street.

These guys were probably in their late teens or early twenties. One of them hit the cyclist on the head with something, then they ran off without the bike. They headed toward Greenway Road and Halton View. Police are looking for anyone who saw anything.

The cyclist got a minor head injury and was taken to the hospital just to check him out. Both suspects had Liverpool accents and were riding a black e-bike together, which is interesting. They wore puffer jackets, balaclavas, plus hoodies, and one dude also wore a blue Nike cap.

Police want to hear from witnesses and obtain any relevant video footage. A detective described it as a “horrific incident” and insists she wants the people responsible found and held accountable quickly.

The police think someone knows who they are and are urging people to share information. You can call Cheshire police at 101 or report it online. The reference number is IML2031557; you can report it anonymously, too, by calling Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
