M11 closed between J8 (Stansted) and J7A (Harlow) due to a major crash. Diversion routes in operation.

A big crash involving many cars caused this. The incident occurred around 4:46 am. Emergency services are working there now. Essex Police are in charge of things, with traffic officers assisting with closures and guiding drivers.
National Highways provided alternate routes to help drivers bypass the M11. If you’re going south, look for square signs. Exit M11 at J8 onto A120 west, go to Little Hadham, and stay on A120, passing through Standon.
Reach the A120/A10 roundabout and take the first exit onto A10 south. Follow A10 through several towns, including Colliers End, High Cross, and Ware. You’ll find the A10/A414 roundabout; take the first exit here to drive east on A414 towards Harlow.
Stay on A414 through Harlow and rejoin M11 at junction 7. If you’re heading north, use diamond signs. Leave M11 at J7a and take A1025 west towards Harlow.
Continue on A1025 to the next roundabout. At the A1205/A414 roundabout, take the third exit onto A414. Stay on A414 through Harlow and proceed to the A414/A10 roundabout. Take the second exit onto A10 north.
Follow A10 through Ware, passing Thundridge and High Cross. Go through Colliers End to the A1/A120 roundabout, take the third exit onto A120, and continue through Standon and past Little Hadham. Rejoin the M11 at junction 8. Allow extra travel time and consider changing your route or delaying your trip.
