Loui’s Kitchen needs more customers. This cafe opened in 2023 on Paris Avenue. It’s in the Westlands area. Loui McKinney inspired the cafe’s name. Loui has autism and learning challenges.

Emily Petts and Steph Talbot started it. They founded Alice Charity. Emily is Loui’s mom, while Steph is Loui’s grandma. They help young adults who have special needs.

The charity gives real-world skills and offers volunteering positions. They also want to provide paid jobs, which exist at Loui’s Kitchen. Other local businesses participate too.

The cafe made an online plea, saying business has slowed recently. Many local places are closing too, and they asked people spread the word. People can also visit the cafe.

They want to keep helping people like Loui by giving them work experience. They need people to come and eat and need more take-out orders.

They hope to help more young adults with special needs. Loui dances and sings there most days and is usually smiling at the cafe.
