A pedestrian died after being struck by a lorry in Sunbury. Police are investigating the early-morning incident.

Police have told his family about the bad news. Surrey Police are now investigating the incident. At this point police haven’t arrested anyone, so they really need help from the public.
Surrey Police want to hear from witnesses, especially anyone who saw the collision. They also want any video footage, including CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam videos. Anything helps their investigation, so please check what you have.
The A316 was shut down after the accident, reopening around 1 PM after a long time. It had been closed for over a mile, stretching from M3 Junction 1 to Nallhead Road. Bus route 290 was also affected. Now that the road reopened, normal service returned.
