Thousands in South London experience water supply interruptions due to burst pipes, impacting homes and schools.

Many places had little to no water at one point. Eleven care homes and twenty-nine schools faced problems. Technicians are fixing the burst and another leak. Thames Water is trying to get water flowing again, using backup pipes to help homes.
The water might look cloudy, but it’s still safe. Air bubbles in the pipes cause this. It’s still fine if you want to drink it. Many people reported no water or low pressure, which was worse when everyone uses water a lot.
They opened a bottled water station at a Sainsbury’s at Southend Lane, SE26 4PU, around 3 PM, Wednesday. The water station closed early to get more water because of “security incidents,” but opened again at 8:30 this morning.
Thames Water said they’re sorry for the trouble and are fixing the damaged pipe quickly. Water should be coming back, but pressure might stay low. If you still lack water, get bottled water at Sainsbury’s, Southend Lane, SE26 4PU, open from 8:30 AM today.
They’re sorry about yesterday’s closure at the station. Thames Water knows some people rely on water, and they’re helping those with special needs. They’re also working with local schools and hospitals to ensure they have enough water. They thank everyone for being patient.
