A London music producer was tricked into traveling to Wales, where he was kidnapped and assaulted.

Police arrested the men last August 26. Someone reported an assault in Llanybydder. It happened at a property near Brynteg. Someone went to the hospital because of it. Two defendants are from Yorkshire. The third is from Surrey. They admitted to kidnapping at Swansea Crown Court.
The jury was picked, but no evidence was shared then. They will be sentenced next month. The judge discharged the jurors. She explained the case to them. The men arranged for the producer to visit Wales. He thought he would be working with musicians.
The defendants detained and assaulted him instead. The judge stated the victim did not know them. She also said “the motivation may well have been political”. They face prison sentences because of the crime. The court only needs to decide how long.
Mohammad Comrie is 22 and from Leeds. Faiz Shah is also 22 and from Bradford. Elijah Ogunnubi-Sime is 20 and from Croydon. They were released on bail for now. Their sentencing is on March 14. Other charges remain on file. These include unlawful wounding and grievous bodily harm.
