Fifteen neighbors in Balloch won a million pounds. They live near Loch Lomond, and their postcode is G83 8SY. Each family received a £66,666 check and felt very emotional about the win.

Tommy Gilmour, 71, had two near-death experiences before winning the lottery. A bus hit him last December, and his watch saved his arm. Two years earlier, neck surgery caused a coma. Tommy and his wife, Maureen, have three kids and five grandchildren.

Tommy and Maureen plan to buy a new car with automatic transmission. They also want to travel abroad and plan a surprise for their family. Tommy said he can’t believe the win and is happy to share it with neighbors. He joked that Maureen ordered bubble wrap for him!

Aileen Suter, 64, is a great-grandmother who plans to finish her bucket list with her late husband, Tommy, who passed away from cancer last year at 66. They wanted to scuba dive in Australia and visit Glastonbury. Aileen misses her husband.

Catherine Curran, 68, and Paul are also winners. Paul teaches Naval recruits, and they plan to buy a camper van to travel around Scotland. They have always traveled abroad, but now want to see more of home.

Catherine’s brother, Alex Gillies, 66, also won, along with his wife, Kay, 63. They plan a trip to South Africa, where they used to live, and will also add a downstairs toilet. Robin Crawford also won; his wife wanted him to cancel, and she is glad he didn’t. They will travel Scotland in a new caravan with their dog, Penny. Fiona, his wife, is relieved.
