Locals claim indecent acts; council bans naturism. Naturists say ban infringes rights and it is legal.

The Lowestoft Parish Council posted a sign. It says Corton Beach is not a naturist beach and lewd behavior is not tolerated. CCTV may record incidents and police will be called.
A Facebook user, Bizzie Broadhurst, agreed. She saw a man doing something obscene and reported it each time. She wants it to stop so others are peaceful. Michelle Prue brings her daughters to the beach. She said the same man walks around naked and her daughters are too young to witness this.
She also wants the ban to protect tourists. Naturists argue this infringes on their rights. They posted on the British Naturism website. Naturists claim the council overstepped and is stopping naturism.
The sign gives the wrong impression. Naturism is actually legal, they stated. One does not need a special beach. Naturists tried to talk with the council, but their attempts failed, they claimed. They think the “ban” could attract more naturists.
