The Llandudno centre aiding blind veterans faces closure amid charity financial struggles. Focus may shift to Rustington facility.

The charity needs to act fast, they said. Otherwise, Blind Veterans UK might disappear. They insist no final decisions have happened yet and are talking about it now. The center started in 2011 and created 70 jobs.
Blind Veterans UK made a statement regarding a review of their finances and operations. They stated that if reforms stall, the charity could fail. To survive, they suggest stopping activities at the Llandudno center.
They are talking with employees about this idea, emphasizing that no decisions will happen quickly. Colleagues involved need full consultation first. They promise support throughout this process, reaffirming that staff and veterans remain the charity’s top priority.
The center cost £12 million when it opened and features 40 bedrooms with bathrooms. It also offers lounges, a gym, kitchens, a sports hall, IT rooms, and an art workshop. A training flat also helps veterans gain independent living skills. The center serves the entire UK, particularly veterans in Wales and Northwest England.
