North Liverpool’s popular Ten Streets Social will undergo improvements after the Liverpool Council approved changes.

The place used to fix taxis but has been serving folks for five years. Liverpool Council approved some changes, hoping to keep it going strong.
The venue wants to open early until midnight every day and plans some inside updates too. They’ll add ramps and a lift, making it easier for everyone to access the venue.
They also want easier stage entry and a lower bar. Over 3,000 people signed petitions supporting them, and many neighbors wrote letters of support.
People call it an “inspiration,” saying young people run it well. It changed an empty space into a cool place and boosted community spirit.
Councilor Joe Hanson likes the owners’ work. They risked a lot to start the business, it is loved by north Liverpool folks and the business helps the community a lot.
The council also approved another project. A rundown pub will become a hotel. The Griffin pub sat empty for three years, after it was once a raw dog food shop.
The old pub had Everton players’ faces on it. Now, it will become a 20-room aparthotel with a bar and restaurant, giving the place a fresh start.
The hotel rooms will mostly be upstairs, with one room downstairs that will be wheelchair accessible. The bar and restaurant will be on the ground floor and anyone can visit the bar, not just hotel guests.
