A fire risk means people must leave a Liverpool flat block. Almost one hundred residents are affected. They live in Block B of Fox Street Village. The problem is with the electrical supply. A cable connection showed extreme heat. It was also overloaded and burning.

The block management company sent a message to residents. They said the electrical supply was unsafe and decided to evacuate the building right away. Staff are helping tenants find other places since safety is the most important thing.

Liverpool City Council confirmed the safety concerns and issued an emergency notice for the building. All residents must leave until repairs happen. The council is helping residents with support.

Students can email their universities for help with housing. Others needing a place to stay should call the council, who are on site helping people. Block B has ninety-six studio flats.

Fire risks have happened at this block before. There were cladding concerns back in 2019, forcing people to leave then too. Inspectors had concerns about the whole development.

A different block in Fox Street Village burned down. The building was being built at the time. The fire was huge with smoke everywhere. They later tore down the burned building months later.
