Liverpool in Arms provides vital support, offering food, supplies, and hope to those in need on cold nights.

They set up outside Primark where people were already waiting. The group gave out food and supplies. Many people had little or nothing to eat, and in 45 minutes, they fed almost eighty.
Neilson Mail started the group after helping a woman with sandwiches who was trying to feed hungry people. He wanted to do more, so he started his own group.
Neilson used to walk around with carts of food with Anica Oaks. To help more people, they grew the organization. Now they feed at least sixty people each night, with each person getting soup, a meal, a sandwich, and a drink.
The group quickly ran out of supplies after giving away many toiletries, as well as socks, underwear, and other things. I saw how much they help people. It was sad, but the volunteers were amazing.
They also help people who aren’t homeless. One woman going through cancer relies on them for support, and they even help some older people who can’t afford food.
One woman had no shoes and walked in the cold with just socks. Neilson asked someone to buy her shoes, showing how caring they are.
Besides food, they offer support and want to help people get off the streets. If you see someone sleeping rough, call for help because there are services to assist them.
Local businesses help the group, including a pastry shop, Lunko, which donates treats. A pizzeria, Franco Manca, and a coffee shop, Fika, also give food and support.
Jimmy Birtles is a fantastic volunteer who is only twelve years old. He bakes treats every week and even gave his lunch to a homeless person.
Beverley Cahil is another volunteer leader who sometimes sees one hundred people each night. It makes her cry to see so much need, but she feels good to show kindness..
Liverpool in Arms is looking for help and needs more volunteers and funding. They feed people on Mondays and Wednesdays, showing compassion every week.
