The Liverpool City Region changed tunnel tolls. The Mersey Tunnels tolls will change on April 1, 2025. Emergency vehicles go free from April 2025 to March 2026. All vehicles travel free from 10 PM Dec 24 to 6 AM Dec 26. Local bus trips get a 50% discount with a TFlow account. Taxis now pay the lower rate like regular cars.
Liverpool City Council received some planning requests. Tesla wants to change a condition at Hollywood Superbowl. Mr. and Mrs. Wray want to alter roof details at The Cottage. Katie Makin wants to add a door at Edward Pavilion. Mr. Flanagan wants to change the use of a building on Falkner Street. A. Dobbie SDI wants signs at Compton House, and Mossley Hill Childcare wants to keep shelters at Fulwood Lodge. You can see the plans online and send comments by March 6, 2025.
Elevate Prosper Ltd wants a license to sell alcohol. They want to sell it 24 hours a day at Prescot Road and want to serve late night refreshments to 5 AM. You can view the application at the council and send any comments by March 8. Mei Mei Chinese Restaurant also needs a license; their location is on Berry Street, open from 11 AM to 11 PM, Monday to Sunday. Send your comments by March 16.
Oriel Street in Liverpool will close, starting on February 24, 2025, and potentially lasting until August 23, 2026, for development work. Braesnose Road will also close temporarily, near Ceres Street, from February 24 to March 28, 2025, for work under the road. Detours will be marked.
Everton Football Club has a safety certificate. The council issued it for Bramley Moore Dock. It covers Group A activities, and you can read the certificate at the council. The office hours are weekdays, 9 AM to 5 PM.
We Dry Golf Limited applied for a license in Wirral. They want to sell alcohol at Woodside Business Park from Monday to Sunday, 10 AM to 11 PM. View the application on the Wirral Council website and send comments to licensing by March 10.
Mr. De Freitas applied for a license in Sefton. His business is Pudding & Pie, in Southport. They want to open 9 AM to 10 PM every day and want to sell alcohol from 12 PM to 10 PM daily. You can see the application by appointment and send comments to Sefton Council by March 14.
Halton Borough Council issued a traffic order. It affects Carr Lane, Queensway, near Burnt Mill Farm, due to road work. You can’t drive on the road; the order began on February 20, 2025, and can last 18 months, though the work should take one day. Call 0370 050 0792 for details.
St Helens Council received some planning applications. Mr. Kamkhi wants to change a building to a takeaway; the location is on Wythburn Crescent. Someone wants to change an industrial unit at the former Robert Mcbride Limited. Mr. Lybert wants a hair salon on Ashton Road, and Mr. Ellis wants to display signs on Shaw Street.
