Lost in Seel Street secures a 6 AM license despite noise concerns. Bar vows to address resident issues and be a good neighbour.

Lost in Seel Street representatives went to a council meeting to change their license. The bar is similar to Lost in Lark Lane. They asked to stay open until 6 AM on weekends.
The bar reached an agreement with the police. A representative hoped they’d be good neighbors, but residents disagreed, claiming “sleepless nights.”
Lost in Seel Street opened last summer. The venue has two floors and holds 300 people. It is in the city center, a popular nightlife area. The bar has Moroccan and European decorations.
It feels like a sports bar and live lounge. They can sell alcohol late at night, opening from 8 AM to 5 AM daily. They wanted to extend hours till 5:30 AM on Fridays and to 6 AM on Saturday and Sunday. Special dates could have even later hours; December 27 could allow for a 7 AM closure.
Environmental health staff had noise concerns initially. They agreed on conditions to limit noise. The extra time was to stay afloat, not for more drinks.
Opponents wanted the license denied because the bar caused sleepless nights. The bar’s representative said there were no problems recently, as the company took it over five months ago.
A council member confirmed the extension got approved. It complied with noise limits agreed upon earlier. Police and environmental health both agreed.
