Liverpool Airport is changing drop-off fees. The express drop-off cost goes up March 5. It will then cost £6 for ten minutes, up from the previous £5. This change only affects the express zone.

A free drop-off area still exists, giving you twenty minutes free. This free zone, with some recent changes, is located across from the terminal. Going over the time limit incurs extra charges. This express spot is close to the terminal.

Airport staff explained the price increase, noting that fees stayed the same for two years. Other UK airports have similar costs. You can still use the free zone, which constitutes a ten-minute walk to the terminal.

The airport invests in better facilities while facing growing operational costs. National Insurance and minimum wage have risen, impacting all local businesses. The airport minimizes costs for travelers.

You can’t book spots in the express drop-off area; payment is upon exit. Blue Badge holders get forty minutes free. Motorbikes park free in specific areas.

The drop-off two area remains free and is a seven-minute walk to the terminal. Like the express zone, booking is not possible, and payment is settled upon exiting.

Cars cannot return for free quickly. Re-entry within two hours costs £8 minimum, with charges increasing the longer you stay.

The Peel Group first got involved in 1997. Liverpool Council bought airport shares in 2016. Currently, Peel and Ancala own 47% each, and Liverpool Council owns 6%.
