Police identify Lisa Smith, 43, as the woman fatally shot near a Kent pub on Valentine’s Day. Investigation ongoing.

Kent Police identified the victim as Lisa Smith, 43 and a mother of two. Officers are investigating the shooting as a murder. Police believe the suspect entered the River Thames after the shooting. They think the suspect knew Lisa Smith.
Kent Police stated they are searching the River Thames. A suspect from the Knockholt murder may have fallen from the Queen Elizabeth II bridge. The police received a call at 7:02 PM on February 14, 2025, reporting a woman in her 40s with gunshot wounds. She passed away at the scene.
Lisa Smith, 43, from Slough, was named as the victim. Authorities found a car and a firearm near the Dartford Crossing. These items were connected to the suspect. The suspect, known to Lisa, was seen near a bridge barrier. Police are searching the water to find him.
People left flowers and notes for Lisa at the scene to honor her memory. One card expressed love for Lisa’s family, especially her sons and granddaughter. It wished them comfort knowing her love and hoped her light would continue to shine. Two other cards simply said, “Dear Lisa, rest in peace.”
People also left Red Bull cans as tributes. Balloons saying “a wonderful mum” were there, and another balloon featured the Disney mermaid Ariel. Michelle Thomas, who runs the Three Horseshoes pub, said the community is shocked. She mentioned hearing screaming, shouting, and crying after the shots rang out across Kent.
Michelle Thomas told Sky News about the commotion, describing “screaming, shouting, and crying.” People were outside using their phones and tried to get people inside for safety. It was early in the evening, and people were just beginning to sit down.
