Lindsey School’s ‘Class of 1985’ reunites after four decades. Tickets benefit St Andrew’s Hospice.

The reunion is for the “Class of 1985.” It takes place at Wilton Fields on May 24th. It starts at 7 pm. Tickets are £10 plus a small fee. Proceeds benefit St Andrew’s Hospice.
The event welcomes several groups. Students from 1984 and 1985 can attend. Former teachers are invited. Families of deceased pupils are welcome too.
Jill Cuthbertson Gilby organized the reunion. She did one in 2010 too. About 150 people attended that one. It was the first since they left school.
The 2010 reunion was a big success. Two former classmates reconnected. They ended up getting married. Jill was happy to hear this news.
Jill organized this reunion because friends asked. They encouraged her to plan another event. She said it is hard to organize. Social media helps a lot now.
Jill recalls her school days fondly. They went on trips to France and Germany. She played on school teams. She believes life was good. School felt less pressure.
Fifty people have already bought tickets. Around 100 tickets remain for sale. The event honors deceased classmates. Jill plans a memorial and projector show. They want to remember those they lost. Families are welcome to share memories.
