A Lincoln woman received jail time for beating her dog at a pub and attacking those who tried to stop her.

Police received a report about an assault at the Dog and Bone pub on John Street around 8:30 PM on Friday, November 8. The report indicated someone had hit a dog and attacked four people. No one sustained serious injuries.
Bilinksa was arrested and charged, appearing in court on February 12. The court sentenced her to 10 weeks in jail for assault and an additional 8 weeks for animal cruelty.
Because Bilinska was already serving a suspended sentence for ABH issued in March 2024, and this crime occurred within that suspension period, the court activated the old sentence, bringing her total jail time to 44 weeks.
The court also issued a lifetime ban under Section 34 of the Animal Welfare Act, preventing her from owning, keeping, or controlling any animal in the future.
Her Chinese crested dog will be rehomed as a result of a deprivation order. She must also pay each of the victims £100 in compensation for their injuries.
A police officer commented on the case, stating that the community protects animals and that the court’s decision demonstrates that animal cruelty is unacceptable.
