Over 100 tires dumped in Greetwell Hollow, Lincoln, have been removed by local councillors, with Kwik Fit handling disposal.

Local council members removed the tires one morning, rolling and carrying them away. Kwik Fit will dispose of them without cost after the company saw the news story.
No one knows who dumped the tires, but people worried they would stay for months. Greetwell Hollow’s location makes removal tough. The Church Commissioners for England own the land and have been asked to comment.
Councillors Christopher, Wells, and Brown did the work. They want people to care for the area better.
Christopher said he felt relieved the tires were gone, after being alerted to the issue weeks ago. He wished the dumpers cleaned up their mess, adding that sometimes, you just have to do it yourself.
He’s thankful Kwik Fit is taking them away, as they could not remove all the tires alone. Wells said the area should not be mistreated.
Wells wants people to protect green spaces, because he thinks they are vital for mental health. He wants more investment in the area so more people could then enjoy it.
